Jana:

Welcome everybody to the LTD podcast. Happy Friday, yay. Now I think you're hearing this on Monday, but for us it is Friday.

Mike:

Who does that?

Jana:

I think it was Y107, back in the day had the Tookie Bird.

Mike:

Yeah.

Jana:

Yeah. So anyways, I can't hear myself at all. Fix it, mike, fix it, mike Still can't, I can hear them. Oh, much better, Okay there we go. That works Okay. So again, we hope everybody is having a good Friday, or you had a good Friday and that you had a great weekend. We are headed into the weekend. It is rainy in Tennessee today, but man, it is so warm, it feels so good. It's been a great week here, started off cold, but man, we're in the high 70s this week. Until tomorrow. Until tomorrow.

Mike:

Oh, is this supposed to drop again tomorrow? Yeah, thank goodness.

Erica:

I'm ready. She's outvoted.

Jana:

Gosh, we're getting tired of California sitting here wishing all this snow on us. All right If you no voicemails this week. Guys, if you would like to call and leave a voicemail 615-246-5823, we'd love to hear about your trips, your upcoming trips, your agreements or disagreements with the dumb stuff that we say on this show. Again, that number is 615-246-5823. Erica and Dana. Mike, you're not going to care about this. Did you see? There is a new character. Meet and greet at Upcott, not figment. New, newer than figment.

Erica:

Yes, no, not Moana Okay. The chick from the wish movie.

Mike:

The Grinch Wrong Park. Well, my wrong park.

Jana:

I don't know who the chick from the wishes.

Erica:

I don't know what the wishes is Is this a Hallmark movie you're talking about. No, it's a Disney movie, that's a ship I don't know. How do we not know? How do you wait? Is it Josh? Oh for Silver Fox. Who is it?

Jana:

He's a participant, so I saw it on.

Erica:

TikTok. Okay, it must be true.

Jana:

It's Mossy from Frozen. So you go to Norway and you go over to Aarindale. Okay, it's a rock, he's a rock, mossy the Rock, I think he's a rock the Troll.

Erica:

Yes, it's either a Troll or a rock.

Jana:

We're meeting the Rock, the.

Erica:

Troll. Oh wait, the Rock.

Jana:

Dwayne Okay Hold up. No. So all right, let's Google it real quick, because I've seen it, but he looks like a rock. He's either a rock or he is a Troll, because they are rocks.

Erica:

They're Trolls, but they look like rocks.

Jana:

They're rocks. They're rocks, they're. Trolls are the same thing.

Mike:

I don't even remember the movie oh gosh, what is it?

Jana:

Frozen Mossy.

Mike:

Let it go Okay.

Jana:

It's that little dude right there.

Erica:

Yeah, they're Trolls, but they're also rocks, so he's brought out in a basket, chris off he's a basket.

Mike:

He's brought out in a basket.

Jana:

A cast member is assisting him and he's roaming around Aarindale Meeting and greet with people. Now it's new. There's no set schedule, gotcha, you don't know when to find him. If you're in the area, just hang out for a little while.

Mike:

He may or may not but pay attention.

Jana:

In the event. He is out there walking around. I don't know if this is going to become permanent, but there was absolutely a video on tiktok last night and I would credit you if I had bothered to look at the account. Who posted it?

Erica:

My bad, but so it's kind of like a Mando and Grogu over in Galaxy's Edge, because Mandalorian walks around and Grogu is like kind of in a basket on his head what she said. So that's kind of what it is.

Jana:

Sure, whoever that is.

Erica:

So you know I have.

Jana:

I have just absolutely not paid a ton of attention to Disney movies in well, since our kids are kind of older now. Yeah it changes doesn't it.

Mike:

Yeah, we haven't seen any what. Never watched any of them either.

Jana:

And I'm not into Star Wars at all, but I did watch Frozen. I didn't see the second one, but I saw the first one. I knew I thought it was a rock.

Mike:

Yeah. So when you said the troll.

Jana:

I was like confused for a second. Well, I don't know, I remember it being a rock, yeah, so, but yeah, I think it's cool when you do see these things. That's neat and it's funny, okay, because and it was like this when my kids were little too but you have this hardcore Disney fan. We're talking Walt Disney, the man, the parks in general, not necessarily movies and characters, right, the parks themselves as they are at that time and you've got these hardcore Disney fans. And when things change, there's pushback from those hardcore old Tom Disney fans, which is what we absolutely are at this point for sure. Me and Mike are I know you are too Dana Correct, and Erica is at Disneyland. I would have seen. But it's funny how, back then, when our kids were little and these small changes would happen, and we hear some of these older guys about it and we're like, yeah, my kids love it. Now that my kids are grown and we see these changes, now me and Mike are the people they're changing parts, yeah and all these little kids love it. I do. I do think pirates should not have been changed period, not even with Johnny Depp in it. It should have remained. There's some things that need to go untouched, Classic. And for me those are the things that Walt Disney had his hands on personally. He personally created the ride, the theme, the idea, the mechanics, whatever might go in, and that's what I hate to see change, because it's almost like removing Walt from the parks for me in a sense. I know they'll always be his parks. There's got his name on them from here to the end of time, but that's a good point. But yeah, that's how I feel on those original attractions Hot invention, pirates, carousel of progress is a big one and I know they're going to change that.

Mike:

It's already been changed a few times since Walt created it. They're talking about like a big revamp.

Jana:

Yeah, and it needs a revamp. But it's like, oh no, just fix what's there. Can we just rebuild it, maybe Exactly as it was the animatronics are harder to fix nowadays.

Mike:

There's no parts. They're having to get parts on eBay.

Jana:

Yeah, so I get it and I understand that part of it. Yeah for sure. But I mean it is what it is and that's just how we feel. But it's now I recognize it. It's like, oh, I'm now the person doing this because you're bringing Mosse into the park. I love the Arendelle part of Norway. I just thought of something and we don't have to talk about. This could be a whole other podcast, but like talking about the animatronics, like you just made this pop into my head and I think it's like what would he do? What would he do? What would Walt do?

Erica:

What would Walt do?

Jana:

There's already a hashtag out for that you can't help it. Yes, so write that down a whole nother time. Like, what do we think Walt would have done in this situation? What would he have done, have you wondered? Like what would he have done in the creation of MGM slash Hollywood studio? But we already know what he would have done. So that's he was always moving forward. Correct? You've got all these quotes of him talking about progress, new ideas, moving forward. So, I think now if Walt were to come back and say let's remove Patrick Ruby and do something different, I think I'd be a little bit more okay with that. I get that. For me it's it's more so about them taking Walt's ideas and crushing them. Let Walt crush his own ideas. I don't need Bob Iger to do that for us, right? Or whoever's in charge of that, josh, I don't know if I'm going to be able to do that, but anyway, that's just that's how I feel about it, but it's so funny to watch it happen now.

Erica:

It's so funny that you you like the history and what he created, but you don't like Disneyland. You don't like touring Disneyland, you don't like walking through Disneyland, and that's his part, right.

Jana:

So what I do like about Disneyland is the history and walking through and touring it, but the overall it's it's small. Well, yeah, it's small. I didn't like California adventure at all oh man, yeah, them spying words Now. I like Cars Land, yeah, but otherwise I didn't care for that park. And then you go into Disneyland and you walk and it's nostalgic and it's cool and like I literally went over to what you call it, um, golden Horseshoe Diamond, what do y'all call it over there? Golden, yeah, golden Horseshoe. And I walked in and I went up to the little place where there's pictures of him standing and on the stage and like I wanted to go and touch and stand the places where I've seen photos of him. Do that. I need to go do the tour out there where you absolutely, you absolutely need to.

Erica:

Yeah, yeah, we got to do that.

Jana:

But in my golden years here I am not, by the way, I'm not 50 yet- so, look, I'm staring at.

Mike:

Dana, when I say that I am.

Jana:

Um, but I'm not into the rides as much as I used to be and I'm very much so. Sit down, have a snack and people watch and take in the atmosphere and the music and all the things. So, um, I think I just get bored at that park.

Erica:

You're doing it wrong, I've said it from day one. You're doing it wrong.

Jana:

I've never been out there with you but I know you're going to drag me around until I'm dead. But the thing about getting dragged around at Disneyland is it's not that small or it's very different. It's not an exhausting experience. But it's also much smaller, in that the roadways are smaller, the walkways are thinner, but I'm pretty sure people are probably a lot smaller back then than they are these days. Um, but I don't know. It's just not my park, and it also could just be the fact that Walt Disney World is my home park. It's where.

Mike:

I started. It's where.

Jana:

I've gone Right and I've been to Disneyland a handful of times, but, um, I go out there and I'm just like, but I tell you, what I did love out there was that Warner Brothers studio tour. That was fantastic.

Erica:

They're not doing that anymore.

Jana:

Well, we just did about January.

Erica:

Somebody just said that they weren't doing it anymore. Maybe they had a curtain. They need to not say that I don't think they're not doing it anymore.

Jana:

I think they changed some things on the tour. They took some of that.

Mike:

Like they tore. I know they tore the Western house down or the Western neighborhood down. Yeah, okay, majorly changed it. Yeah, okay.

Jana:

Yeah and um, we saw a sofa stadium. That was cool and I'm not big into football but my kid was sure jealous when I sent a picture.

Erica:

He had me on that field. You want to give me a?

Jana:

taste of that funny Cause Russell watches football all the time. I know Mike probably does too, and if I happen to walk by and I was like hey, that's my stadium, I've been there, I've been there, hey, russell, you see that yard line.

Mike:

Right there I got my picture.

Jana:

Right there I got my picture right there, dana sat on the 50 yard line and got her photo because she's 50 years old and she sat on the big beard. Oh my gosh, that's so cool, it was so great, so that was super fun, but there was a lot of things Me and Mike have been out to Yosemite.

Mike:

That's the best thing about Disneyland is Yosemite.

Jana:

Yeah, that's so far away. It went far away for us, that's what we liked in California. We did Joshua tree. That was super cool. We drove that part.

Mike:

I'll go with you. I'm telling you there's a lot to see.

Jana:

We were not impressed with Hollywood. Santa Monica Pier was cool, I like, but we weren't impressed with Hollywood.

Mike:

That was pre COVID. I'm pretty sure it's gotten worse now.

Jana:

So point being here, guys, is when you go out to Disneyland, there's so much more to see and do than just Disneyland. And guess who can help you navigate that vacation? Main street travel, are you sure? Absolutely Perfect?

Mike:

This sounds like a plug.

Jana:

Maybe, okay, okay, change the subject here for a second, guess what.

Erica:

Chicken bite.

Jana:

What I love that, what, tell me, me and Mike are going to?

Mike:

I can't remember what it is. It's a Netherlands, curacao, the Netherlands.

Jana:

We're going to Curacao, so jealous.

Mike:

So jealous. It's owned by the Netherlands.

Jana:

Now why do they have that down there For y'all listening? Dana and Eric already knew this, but I wanted to tell y'all the listeners that we got a very super minute last minute invitation to go to Sandals, curacao.

Mike:

Super minute.

Jana:

Super last minute invitation to go to Sandals, Curacao. It is. It's definitely a work trip. We have to do resort inspections, we have to have classroom time all the things. Mike's got to do a live video.

Mike:

I don't. Jenna's going to do a live video and I'm going to hold my phone up while she's doing her live video, so I can talk yeah, that's what he's going to do.

Jana:

I guarantee that's what he'll do.

Mike:

We might just get a stick that has two phone holders and she can just hold mine and hold hers.

Erica:

So it's actually a really good idea. She's a good guy.

Jana:

So we me and Mike are doing that. So for all the people out there who might be travel planners, this is always in my situation. The way I run my agency is if the opportunity could be for myself as an owner or my agents. I always give that opportunity to my agents first, over me, and I do that because my job is to build their business, not to necessarily focus solely on my own and take all the opportunities. So I always give opportunities to my agents. It doesn't matter their level of experience, if their brand spanking new as of yesterday or if they've been with me for five years. I put it out there Whoever can take it can go.

Mike:

And most time everybody takes it.

Jana:

Most time everybody takes it, but this time we try it and every time me and Erica look at the flights. All your bombs sat there and let it, let it go. No, we looked at flights. I was like we really did Okay, no bites. So I messaged back the representative who offered me that option. You guys have heard her on the podcast demand at Sandals and beaches resorts and we were like hey, me and Mike will go, so um and I normally won't take up a spot and agents.

Mike:

Yeah, mike never takes an agent spot, but if anything I could sell would be, that would be Sandals and beaches.

Jana:

I don't know, you could sell that or Disney easily. I know, but Disney's so hard to sell, yeah, mike does all the tech and stuff and back office accounting admin, all that stuff. So he doesn't necessarily love sell anything, but you definitely could. If you really wanted to or needed to, you could if you're driving the same way.

Mike:

That's true, yeah, he does Anyways we will look at me and I'm like why are you looking at me for he?

Jana:

forgets the cars. Brad and we're sitting around and people are steering. Sometimes they'll even take a picture and Mike's like what are they doing? It's rude. Luckily our windows are dark tinted so they can't see his facial expressions, because I'm like Mike. The car is wrapped.

Mike:

And then there's a key and our son will drive. Aaron will drive it, he loves it. There's two or three other Sandals cars around here and Aaron will roll down his windows and start waving at him, and some of them are like business.

Jana:

No at other Sandals cars.

Erica:

He'll wave at the other Stranger.

Jana:

You could do that too, but anyways. So we will talk about, tell y'all all about Sandals Curacao next Monday, because we'll be leaving the day after. Next Monday is the 27th.

Mike:

We leave on the 28th. Why are we not talking about it when we come back?

Jana:

We'll talk about what we're going to do, experience all the things, the features, and then when we come back we'll give you what our opinions were of all those things and the features and whatnot. So y'all know I'm going to be blunt and I'll be blunt right now and I'll say it again next week probably is. This has been one of the Sandals resorts I've had a hard time even referring or recommending to anybody because looking at it on paper, it doesn't sit on an open ocean beach, it's kind of back in an inlet it looks like like front property. It looks like lakefront property. It's a small beach and I'm like so. I've heard amazing things about it. We've had we've had two agents here who has gone, which is April, and Rena, rena and Marcos, so three agent like it. Rena. Rena did like it. I don't think it was her favorite, but it was bougie enough for Rena to probably go back and visit again.

Mike:

I've never seen a bougie.

Jana:

Well, Rena is our bougie.

Mike:

She likes.

Erica:

Don queen of bougie she is I love her so much, gosh?

Jana:

Yeah, so, um, and then April also went. April liked it. It was just fine, so, but it looks like there's a lot of opportunity to go off property at this resort as well, especially you can take bikes and go riding or something. So, anyways, we'll talk about all that Monday, gotcha, okay, then guess what? What? Oh crap.

Mike:

I thought we were doing that.

Jana:

Check him out Now. Dana and Erica, y'all are going to be so, so thrilled when I tell you this.

Mike:

You're just going to be unbelievably excited.

Jana:

Remember that your headphone is connected, so if you jump up you'll want to pull it off real quick before you. Okay.

Mike:

I'm trying to get. Right now. Y'all are going to cure sound. We use y'all's credit cards.

Erica:

Oh, so that's what that charge was. Okay, that's fine, you deserve that.

Jana:

So my birthday is December 2nd, and that's the surprise.

Erica:

I'm surprised.

Jana:

I prefer silver over gold. Okay, or cash, it's good, right, no, but for real. So we because I know y'all did not know this we are going to all Disney World together.

Mike:

And when you use y'all's credit card.

Jana:

You're welcome, I'll allow it so, but no, they also already knew about this trip. But we are also seeing me and Michael doing curousel. December 28th will be back. I'm sorry, I keep saying that November 28th. We will be back in Nashville the evening of December 1st and then on December 2nd we're going to get on a plane without Mike and me and Erica and Dana are going to Disney where we are going to do all the things. We're going to do Mickey's very merry Christmas party. That's the third. We're going to be doing Jollywood on the fourth and on one of those days we're going to go over to Universal and our goal is to somehow, at this point, meet the Grinch. Since we're not on property, we won't have access to virtual queues super early.

Erica:

It's no longer a virtual queue, it's a standby line. I saw that. Is that?

Jana:

a rumor or is that confirmed? Is that?

Mike:

a good thing.

Jana:

Cause I saw it as a rumor.

Erica:

I've seen it as both. I haven't even seen it. So we'll find out, I guess we'll find out the third when we go, so what's that mean?

Mike:

You're not going to run out of virtual queue. Y'all can actually just go stand in line. Just stand in line, I will stand in line for the Grinch. If we stand there, for four hours.

Jana:

I'll do it Me too. Yeah yeah, I just he's so mean and I love it and I want to meet him. We need an onion. They said he gets so many onions. So after I read that now I'm like maybe I don't want to take him an onion. But what else could we do? Research Like a friendship bracelets. I think I'm just going to take him a piece of trash. Oh, you might like that, yeah, just like a brown paper bag. I'm going to crumble it up and make it look dirty and just say, here I got, brought you a gift, okay, okay.

Mike:

You're probably going to get tackled.

Jana:

Well, I'm going to be videoing it so maybe we should watch the movie one more time before we go. Yeah, but which one?

Erica:

Which version.

Jana:

The one with Jim Carrey. It's the best version, totally the one with Jim Carrey. Okay, it's the best version. And I'm pretty sure yeah, and I'm pretty sure that's what this Grinch is framed after.

Erica:

Yeah, the last cartoon version they did was a little different than the original. It was a little. I don't think I saw that I was a little more crude, I would say.

Jana:

Yeah, I've only seen like the original from like when we were kids Yep, and then the Swarman, jim Carrey. So I think we will have to watch that again before we go, and then we'll just have to. We'll have to brainstorm before I leave next week. Right and as to just like what we could possibly take to him. We're on it. So. Okay, erica, write that down. Okay, all right, so that is going to be our plan, and we hope everybody is excited for us because we are super excited to be traveling yet again in 2023.

Erica:

It's a rough life. Again, we said we were done. Yeah, I definitely said I was done.

Jana:

In the spirit of Mickey's very merry Christmas party. I think we promised you this two episodes ago and we kept getting distracted by 15,000 other things. And we have talked about this party several times, I think actually in the past two things, but not in a ton of just dig into it detail. So Erica, who is our queen of detail, who normally comes to the table with about 102 pages of notes for one simple topic, are you prepared or no? Yeah, I've got the website up right here. Same, she's always ready, always ready, no doubt, no doubt. So we are going to let Erica bring us into the party and talk about the party, and me and Dana are going to sprinkle in our thoughts about the party. But the first thing I want to ask both of y'all before Erica gets going, because she's got a lot Okay, what are you most looking forward to at?

Mike:

this party, all of y'all being gone, oh sorry. This is not mine.

Erica:

I'm sorry, gosh, did you ask him what is going on today? He?

Jana:

didn't react, but she kicked him under the table.

Mike:

Thank you, oh, this is y'all what y'all are expecting at the party. I'm sorry.

Jana:

No cookies for you, no cookies for Mike, and I know his favorite cookie. That's like for him. I can be with a little baby Grinch. What laugh did I do?

Mike:

Well, just have to put that on one. The sound board. Ooh, let's do it.

Jana:

That would be so fun.

Mike:

I like him. It could be this instead. Okay, let's see what am I.

Jana:

Perfect.

Erica:

And what was?

Jana:

the question what's, what are you most looking forward to from this, specifically from this party? Okay, so I'm most excited about it because it's my favorite part of the party. I've been to the party what? Three or four times. I've been to Mickey's very merry Christmas party. My favorite event activity at the party is the Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Time at Christmas parade. Y'all it's so good and I can sing the song, but I'm not gonna and we can't play the music because we can't play the music. Sing the song Dana. It is okay. Once Upon a Christmas Time at Christmas it's just so happy. It's so happy. It starts off with characters and the cool thing about like the not so scary Halloween party and the Boutier parade and Mickey's very merry Christmas party and the Once Upon a Christmas Time parade is it's full of characters, characters that you don't see all the time. So, yeah, you're going to see Mickey and Minnie, probably Daisy, donald, ludo, goofy, but you're going to see lots of characters that you don't see all the time. In fact, there's a crew of them that kick the parade off and I won't give too much away, but Pinocchio and Gepetto, oh, wow, I know Okay.

Erica:

I want to do?

Jana:

Poconeo and Gepetto? What did I say? P-na-na-na-na, I would wait a little while to see them because I've never met Gepetto before. So I think it would be cool especially if they're in Christmas garb to hang out and see them. So they're in a group of characters, that kind of kick off the parade. So that's just amazing. The people in this room know Mickey is my favorite. Mickey's her guy All time. That's her silver fox. Sorry.

Mike:

Seriously Silver mouse.

Jana:

So he and Minnie are on a beautiful float with this gorgeously decorated Christmas tree and presents, and they're near the beginning of the parade. Funny enough, because you would think Mickey would close out the parade. However, the big man himself, the spirit of Christmas himself is.

Mike:

Josh tomorrow.

Erica:

If I start running, don't, don't try to catch me.

Jana:

Just let me go, I'm going to ban.

Erica:

It's fine yeah.

Jana:

So the music plays all throughout and it's just, it just makes you smile, it makes you dance a little jig, it makes you want to wave at everybody. It's just so magically happy. I know, the seven dwarfs are in the parade. Oh, I've met them before, and I mean really the Christmas party. Yeah, me too. I was with you, we were together. Amber yeah, we all met the seven dwarfs. The Cinderella carriage is in the parade. Oh, I can't wait With Cinderella and the other side of it, okay, but probably, I would guess, one of the most iconic parts of the parade. What would you say the most iconic part of the Once Upon a Christmas Time parade that people have heard and seen before?

Mike:

Jingle bells.

Jana:

No, you mentioned it earlier.

Erica:

Well, I've never been to the Christmas party, I've just seen videos, but you already knew the reindeer, that's one of them, the toy soldiers.

Jana:

The toy soldiers y'all.

Erica:

You're gonna get in trouble. We're right now in your face. You're gonna get in trouble.

Jana:

It took her a second yeah, the toy soldiers. Oh my gosh, watching them, but hearing them. Yeah, I don't know what kind of whatever they've got on their feet to make that sound, but it is so freaking cool. Oh, I'm sure they've got some type of tap on the bottom of those shoes.

Mike:

It's so freaking cool.

Jana:

Just to see it, but to hear it because it's robotic.

Erica:

Oh, I can't wait.

Jana:

Sounds like a horse, it does. It's a robotic sound and movement, but they're people. I love that part. The dancing reindeer are hysterical and obviously the dancing reindeer are leading Santa in his beautiful sleigh. You're gonna love it. I can't wait. You're gonna love it. See this shot y'all. You can't see my storefront, but in my storefront, on my back wall, I've got this big eight foot by eight foot picture of the magic kingdom walking straight down the middle of Main Street. It's an empty street I'll put a picture of it in LTAD and at the end of that street is the castle. So basically, where we're sitting in that photo, right there is the hub of the square. So we're gonna sit on that hub, as long as it's available and that's not roped off for any reason Of the square looking straight up Main Street. This shot right here that's where we're gonna sit for the parade. I will go and I will sit and. I will stake it out while y'all go and do all the things, and that's what I'll sit there and do to make sure we get that shot right there, because that's gonna be the coolest shot that's the money shot right there.

Erica:

That's the best one. Yeah, we're gonna use that, and I wanna point out something to everybody.

Jana:

You hear me, I'm usually the person if there's gonna be negativity towards a Disney park, it's usually me, and I have already shared negativity about this party because it hasn't really changed over the years and I was like, okay, it gets boring, whatnot. But then you also hear this person who's been negative about it, super excited to go. So that's what I wanna point out is, no matter what we're saying, negative about any destination, going is going and it's fun, regardless for anybody, even me, which I'm more of a Grinch girl than I am, a jolly happy, merry girl but it's fun and we're looking forward to it and I know y'all can hear the excitement and our voices over that. So I just wanted to point that out because a lot of people might be getting a very confusing message for me. My message is Disney is not doing a whole lot of things right right now, but we still love Disney and we still want to go and I'll sit there and I'll point out and I'll show y'all the things I think are dumb and silly, and been there since the dawn of time and we'll still have a great time. So that's right.

Erica:

Yes, so anyways the question was what are you looking forward to?

Jana:

What are you most looking forward to, Erica?

Erica:

So many things. This is my first Christmas party because Disneyland never really had Christmas parties. They're more Halloweeny. I'm excited for Weenies. She said weenies. I like weenies, that's fine, Okay. I'm excited for the treats and the what is it? The Snoop and I'm excited to see the parade and characters and their scarves and their Christmas clothes and Mickey and his Christmas outfit and wearing pajama pants and going and getting Pajama Jammy jams.

Jana:

Jama jams Jama jams.

Mike:

Okay, that's a compromise we can do that.

Erica:

I'm excited to go and experience everything. I'm excited to go with you guys Because you, You're welcome. I'm excited like we're having a friend trip and it's for a birthday. And it's just it's gonna be so much fun.

Jana:

I'm so excited and you're not gonna buy me all the gifts, obviously, and all the treats.

Erica:

Duh, I can do that. I went and bought a special tin for these cookies that I'm putting a purse strap on. I'm all about.

Jana:

I'm here for it, I'm ready, I'm so ready to go do this, she's gonna get us like bodies padded down in security.

Erica:

I'm always the one that gets stopped at security every time.

Mike:

Do you bring the cookies home or something?

Erica:

I plan on it.

Jana:

You would say that when you went through security. I've never been able to do that.

Mike:

I always eat them.

Jana:

But you would think, when you went through security right after your marathon and your broken leg, they said excuse me, ma'am, your leg is broke.

Erica:

Well, it wasn't like a bone scanner or anything there.

Jana:

I mean it could be. We don't know what it's showing.

Erica:

It could be Probably showing everything that you ate for lunch, but I'm very, I think, if I had to say the top number one thing that I'm most excited for I know you don't care Jack and Sally yes, she is a Jack and Sally girl Only because I love Nightmare Before Christmas. And when we went last year for Mickey's Not so Scary the wait was so long to see them.

Jana:

You know the wait's gonna be long to see them. It's not, it's always been. It's been long since they were there, the first party, way back in the 1800s.

Mike:

Now we're gonna do two things see the. Grinch and Jack and Sally yeah trust me, that was our trip.

Erica:

We saw the Grinch and we saw Jack and Sally. I am in these Facebook groups.

Jana:

Her cookie team got confiscated by security.

Erica:

It probably will, knowing my luck.

Mike:

Where's Jack and Sally?

Erica:

at the theater.

Mike:

Okay.

Erica:

Right up front. So while, if you wanna sit right there in that spot right in front of the Christmas tree and stake out our spots for the parade, I will just walk across the street and go stand in line for.

Jana:

Jack and Sally Cool works for me.

Erica:

But yeah, a lot of people have been saying all these groups on Facebook, everybody that's gone to the party so far excuse me has said the wait has not been terrible, apparently last night the party got completely rained down, so I'm sure that was a zero wait for Jack and Sally and although I would hate for that to be our experience if that happens, we're not leaving.

Jana:

We're knocking on wood. It's not gonna happen. If that happens, we're not leaving. We will attack all the characters in that situation. That's what we're gonna do. I've already got punches packed like I'm ready to go.

Mike:

No pulling up in the weather channel.

Erica:

No, don't worry, Not yet, it's fine. Everything's gonna be fine, we're not speaking that into existence. We're gonna go and we're gonna have fun and it's not gonna rain and it's not gonna be hot, it's going to be pleasant.

Jana:

Right now would be a perfect time, like for you to have a thunder and lightning sound effect. So However it's not going to do this. So first timer, yes, super excited. There's a lot of things to see. Do you agree, as a first timer, we should avoid rides, because there's nothing Christmas on the rides? There's no, there is. There are some rides that have overlays, but it's not significant enough for me to want to waste my time on a ride for a first timer who has all these other things that are party wise in the parks for you to do so for me, going as much as I do to the parks in general, I would.

Erica:

I'm fine skipping rides. Maybe I would like to do jingle cruise. We can do jingle cruise during a regular park day.

Jana:

But that's true, it's not party specific.

Erica:

I think just because I go so much, I don't care about the rides as much. I would rather focus on the party stuff. And I mean, this is kind of a work trip too, so like content and everything in videos and pictures and whatnot. But if you're only if you're going to Disney world for the first time and you're not doing magic kingdom during the day and you sacrifice that day and you're doing the party as your magic kingdom day, then I would do rides when you get in early.

Jana:

I would never, ever suggest to anybody that you use a Christmas party nor a Halloween party for your magic kingdom day. Because you are, magic kingdom is if you've never been before or if you only go ever so often. Only if you travel like we do, where you go multiple times every year or you go at least once a year. Maybe do that, but if you don't travel like we do, do not use a party for your magic kingdom day and make sure you're giving yourself no less than a day and a half to two full days to roam and discover the magic kingdom If you're wanting to get in as many rides as possible and see the park itself. One and a half to two days minimum.

Erica:

I agree. But sometimes people get a little sticker shock at the cost of these party tickets and everything. So they kind of say, well, if we're getting in at four o'clock we can do a couple hours. And I've noticed that especially with a lot of West Coast people that are used to Disneyland and have never really been to Disney world and they're starting to think about coming over to Disney world for the holidays. I can't figure out how to stress it enough that magic kingdom is so much bigger than Disneyland. Like, please, you need a day, let's figure out how to budget and save for these Christmas party tickets. But you gotta do magic kingdom, you've just got to. Oh, you stop it, you hush.

Mike:

You gotta do Epcot.

Erica:

That I agree with you.

Jana:

Yeah, we have to do that, cut for sure, and and we can talk about up hot next week as well, along with Curious out because I've got it's, it's. I love me and Mike love Epcot, and we have literally gone down and we would do it again, where the only park we visited was Epcot, and we could do it over and over and over. We love.

Mike:

Jenna. Usually every time it's like we got to do Magic Kingdom.

Jana:

Jenna, jenna, try to push you can't go to Disney World without at least walking into the Magic Kingdom for five seconds and walking out.

Mike:

That's what she does. Yeah, we'll walk up there, get a Casey's hot dog and turn around and come back out.

Erica:

Yeah, girl, it's enough for me, oh it's different this time because we are doing Magic Kingdom a few. Yeah, that's just times. But it's short bursts like we, you, you still got to get on, sean right, I think her is me.

Jana:

I pulled her out of Magic Kingdom but the thing about Magic Kingdom is during Christmas time, it's exactly where I want to be. Because I've said this before, I'll say it again If you are having trouble getting into the Christmas spirit and this year yeah that is this green trade here. My tree here in the storefront is normally up the day after Halloween because it is a retail storefront shop and Everybody's decorated for Christmas this time of year, except for me this year.

Mike:

Yeah, palm tree.

Jana:

We have been so busy I was just gonna say, well, you've been yeah and it's like when I get home and I have a Saturday or Sunday off which has been rare this year for me to have a Saturday or Sunday completely off All I want to do is sit. And I told him yesterday, you know, we could probably Dig in that building, get that tree out, at least get it to the store Exactly, we could get it within 10 minutes. We just haven't done it. It's like I can't wrap my brain around it and I told y'all this morning I'm gonna bring that over and y'all putting it up, because I'm just not in the mood for it. I'm just in the mood to just take a break and sit.

Erica:

We got you girl, so I feel that that's where I'm at.

Jana:

I have been there before and and normally we travel over my birthday every year period. It's it's a little tradition We've started. We're not only going to Jamaica, but sometimes we do go to Disney, and this year I thought I was going to Turks and Caicos, right yeah, and that that event that I was gonna travel for was canceled went just completely around. Yeah.

Mike:

Jamaica Turks and Caicos, and yeah, it's somewhere else.

Jana:

So we were like here, let's just go to Disney. And it was gonna be me, mike and Aaron who went to Disney. But we have an older great Dane who is struggling and we know we're very, very near the end for him and we don't want to leave him on the kennel, won't take him. He plays like he's dead at the kennel and it scares him to death. So they refuse to take him anymore. He goes on a hunger strike, he won't eat and he lays on this concrete floor and won't budge. He's got this little cot bed sitting there and the dog wants to lay on the. He never lays on the floor, he always has to have a pillow. So they won't take anymore because he plays a game with them.

Mike:

Very, very smart dog. He knows how to work it.

Jana:

But he is truly now just really struggling. So Mike didn't want to leave him at home for our daughter to come care for a few times during the day. They kind of won't take him. He doesn't need to be at home by himself for hours on in period. So we made the decision because I was sitting over here halfway pout and then pretending that I was sad and upset that I didn't have Nobody go to Disney with. And of course Dana and Eric are like you always have somebody to go to Disney with, always.

Mike:

So no, I didn't even hesitate.

Jana:

No, it was like duh.

Erica:

I knew y'all were gonna say man, she's like you guys want to go. I was on Southwest comm.

Jana:

In like 0.5 seconds I'm going to fly y'all not even joking at her flight was booked that much faster.

Erica:

I was like slow down.

Jana:

So we've had this plan. But you know, if you, if you need help getting into a Christmas spirit, magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World is going to do that for you. What I am most looking forward to before you get into all these details because now we're kind of pushing on time a little bit here with Our, our yatter and chatter and bladder and all that stuff yeah, all that, I make up words, I don't know, just sometimes things fall out of my mouth, I don't know what I'm saying. But I'm looking most forward to simply walking down Main Street, usa With those lights and the music and that Christmas atmosphere. This will be the first Christmas party I've ever gone to where the dream lights are not on the castle. So I'm super, super disappointed that they haven't brought those back. I, I know, I don't know, I just wish they would bring them back. Everybody loved them and adored them. But outside of that, one of my favorite places to go during the non Christmas time of year in the Magic Kingdom is the yield Christmas shop, right, so for me, the whole park turns into the yield Christmas shop and I just love that. So I'm looking forward to doing that, so then I can come home, put my Christmas tree up, because it usually goes up the weekend after Thanks even, but we're not gonna be here at this time, right? So our tree will go up and we'll get everything decked out.

Mike:

I sure went up the first day of October.

Jana:

I'll be a little bit or less grinchy.

Mike:

Let's say I think we did too much last year.

Jana:

Well, no, last year, hang on last year, because I'm not a person to put my Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving I never have. But last year we ordered a new tree.

Mike:

Oh, that's right.

Jana:

And it was this kind of special.

Mike:

Pre-lit trees and you can write stuff on the tree.

Jana:

So we put it up. When it came in it was first of October we put up to make sure it worked. So we were like, well, it's up now and let's just leave it up. So we had like Halloween lights on it, and then for football games we put Tennessee ball colors on it.

Mike:

I wouldn't. We didn't put ornaments on it until yeah, I read it it just kind of sat off on the side of the room because we didn't want to put it up and then get it out again a month later.

Jana:

So, well, two months later, but still do that. Yeah, anyways. So that's what I'm looking most forward to is is just the atmosphere of the park, and I've gotten to where I can do that. A lot now is. I can just walk into the parks do absolutely nothing but be present.

Erica:

Yep in that atmosphere can really it is just walking down main streets like yeah, unless there's a huge crowd, then Mark's like Time to go to Epcot, where there's never any people, never only place we've ever gotten fights, which is funny because mine is Magic Kingdom. You know, the first time I ever went to Walt Disney World was in December of 2020 and it was decorated for Christmas. I was right after I was right after we moved here and I had told Johnny before we left California said if you can sell this house and make more of a profit than what we're estimating, you're taking us to Disney World like duh. We got here in September, got the kids out here, unpacked and booked a trip.

Jana:

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. So and then she found mainstream travel. Yes, the rest is history.

Erica:

Okay, so ready to talk go for it.

Jana:

girl, give us some details, tell us all about this party.

Erica:

So again, kind of like Jollywood, which I feel we need to have another discussion about because some not so great things have come out about that. But we will make our own decisions. So we'll have a full recap and our opinions of that when we come back. Like Jollywood nights, this is a special ticketed event. If you do not have a party ticket, you will be escorted out of the theme park at a specific time. You go in, you, what is it? Four o'clock.

Jana:

You're able to get in at four o'clock.

Erica:

You get a special wristband. You know you can get a guide map where it will tell you where all the characters are and what time you can meet them. And the cookie stops, cookie stops and the hot cocoa in the cider. I think there's five different types of cookies.

Mike:

Yes, this is upgraded since we went it is it's, it's way more than one cookie, I think it was one cookie at several different locations.

Erica:

Oh gosh, yeah, I mean I wouldn't be not if it was a good cookie.

Mike:

That was before COVID and the snow on Main Street was like is it really snowing? I mean, it wasn't really that big of a deal, but I think they've kind of overdone it now.

Erica:

So yeah, I'm excited way more. I'm here for it, okay. So there again, there's so many characters you can meet. I think there's a lot of controversy with one particular character. That you can meet and take pictures with Stitch what about it? Stitch is available for a meet and greet over at Tiki room, okay, and a lot of people are. Over there cuz he's from Hawaii Hawaii.

Mike:

I always just think he should be over by the animal encounter. Yeah, it's great to see.

Jana:

Yeah, that's true.

Erica:

So a lot of people are complaining that Stitch is not wearing a Christmas shirt. He's wearing somewhat of a Hawaiian shirt, but it's a traditional, I guess a traditional Hawaiian shirt that has poinsettias.

Jana:

You know people complain about some of the dumbest things I know they really do.

Erica:

Well, why on earth would you complain about this? Your meeting Stitch number one, right, he's festive. It's festive colors. A poinsettia is a Christmas flower.

Jana:

You want to begin this particular diehard Disney fan who struggles with change, that's what that is Right. But gosh, even I'm not going to struggle over a shirt, come on, they're literally complaining over a shirt you just got to be glad Stitch is in Hawaii, where he belongs, and not over in Tomorrowland where he doesn't actually belong.

Erica:

Except during not so scary, where he's dressed up as all this. I know he's an alien and I know that aliens could be a futuristic thought.

Jana:

But no, he's. He lived in Hawaii. His story is in Hawaii.

Mike:

I'm just glad he has clothes on. He's normally naked. Yes, he does have clothes on. Donald never wears pants, it's offensive.

Erica:

Yes, he look at that. It's very cute. That is festive, I don't know.

Mike:

Y'all.

Jana:

Google Stitch in his shirt this year. It's cute, that's what we're looking at Maybe this person, these people that are complaining are very confused about what Christmas festivity can look like.

Mike:

I'm going to. I'm going to say it's really cool.

Erica:

Maybe they should go to Hawaii. It's Merry Christmas in.

Jana:

Hawaii, every grocery store sells poinsettias this time of year Poinsettias, poinsettias.

Erica:

Poinsettias.

Jana:

Pralines.

Mike:

Pralines IA. At the end it is Praline.

Jana:

No, it's not, we just learned this.

Mike:

We just learned this. I told you before that it's Pralines.

Jana:

It's.

Erica:

Praline.

Jana:

If you can go to New Orleans and they're going to tell you something. It's Pralines Tell you what?

Mike:

It's like it reminds me of the school.

Jana:

What are those little crustaceous type things that live in creeks? Crawl dead Crawl fish, Though it's a prawn something a prawn, a prawn, a prawn.

Mike:

It's pralines. What's a prawn?

Jana:

That's a large shrimp. It's a shrimp Never heard of that. He don't live in a creek. Watch the food network. He is not from Bayou country. We probably need to watch some animal planets anyway, how did we get here Because of Praline?

Mike:

Probably.

Erica:

Point said he is, point said he is.

Jana:

Point said a, a prawn is just a. We'll look it up. We'll look it up.

Mike:

Sorry, go ahead.

Erica:

Okay, so pecan and praline, Anyways. So back to you. That is so wrong, that's like nails on a jaw. There's also a special fireworks show. It's Minnie's wonderful Christmas time fireworks show, so they'll have projections and the fireworks and everything. So that's.

Jana:

I'm excited to see that too, and Disney does fireworks better than anybody.

Erica:

So apparently not last night. I know, apparently not last night.

Jana:

That was a mother nature stepped in and said not today, not today.

Erica:

And apparently this year there is an additional stage show. Oh, and it's frozen, okay.

Mike:

Not surprising, not surprising, I'm done with them.

Erica:

Well, they also what was it? Was it Bob Iger that just came out and said there's going to be a frozen four?

Mike:

It's like why are we announcing frozen?

Erica:

four before frozen. Three is even out, I don't know, but I digress.

Mike:

It's going to be like a fast and furious franchise. Oh dear, that's where we're heading.

Erica:

Kind of like Toy Story 2. We've got Toy Story 5 coming.

Mike:

Frozen 32.

Erica:

Yeah, so, yeah. So we have a fireworks show, a special Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Time Parade that everybody's excited for. Then there's a stage show, again like I just said, with frozen, and then there's also the traditional stage show called Mickey's Most Marriest Celebration. There's dance parties club tensile maybe not so much for kids, but kids can dance too, because there's also a Disney Junior dance party called Jingle Jam. So we have that for the kids, but I'm just very excited.

Mike:

And y'all going to do this all in one night.

Erica:

We sure are Well done Okay. And the highlight. Jack and Sally the highlight.

Jana:

Mickey and his Christmas.

Erica:

Man. We got to get on YouTube because you should see the looks on our faces. Sometimes when we record this, it is oh yeah.

Jana:

Just shot her a jack or a look over Jack and Sally.

Erica:

She looked at me and I was like, yeah, right, Well, and I'm you know, like with any Disney party, they have the special treats that you can buy and everything but the cookies I'm very excited for yeah because I mean, what'd you say?

Jana:

There were five different types of cookies throughout the different stations and that's like the trick or treat stations, if you will, at the not so scary party. So it's quote unquote included in your part, yes, in your party ticket. So I don't. And, like Erica mentioned, she's got a special 10 to collect her cookies, in which means we could go through the line eat a cookie go through again, collect a cookie to bring home. Yeah, so apparently that's.

Erica:

that's a big deal. Like people make bags, they make special bags like themselves, like seamstress that. Like they sew their own special bags and they'll just keep going through the cookie lines and they come home with these cookies and they'll freeze them. It's a big deal. Like cookies are a big deal, that good.

Jana:

I have noticed that, as opposed to the pre COVID parties that we went to where you would go up, and they were on a tray on a napkin, and you picked up your cookie. These are pre packaged, they are. I'm not mad about that Well look, we're talking about that's not something I might bring if I think it's super cute, because I'm not probably not going to get a cookie. There's only so many cookies you can have, but for me Huh, wait a minute. I don't think Disney sweets, cookies and cupcakes and rice crispy treats are good at all. Okay, I think they're nasty so heading on a second. Have you ever made your own rice crispy treats at home?

Erica:

Yes, and they're not magical and they're not good.

Jana:

Then you're not making them right, you're not putting enough butter in them, because that's the trick. And Disney worlds are disgusting.

Erica:

Oh yeah, I don't like that.

Jana:

But yeah, it makes a very good point before COVID. I agree, the sugar cookies, which is that's my favorite thing to get and take home. I haven't brought one home in two years. Oh, just like the cherries, the rice crispy treats oh yeah, they don't even make the kind that Laura would get every time, because they're not really making a bunch of that stuff in-house. Russell they're like premade Russell used to get a peanut caramel apple every single time and anytime I would go down he would have me bring him one back. He hasn't gotten. I think maybe one or two since COVID, because they're not the same.

Mike:

They're not good.

Jana:

And you know what? You look at stuff, and it gets me every time and I'm starting to stop falling for this mess, because you'll look at something and, oh my gosh, that is so cute. So cute and it looks so good, and then you take a bite into a cupcake and it's dry and falls apart in your hand.

Erica:

You know what I agree with that. I agree with that and in some cases I feel like maybe the what would you call that Like the food department. Yeah, Culinary. I mean I think the way that they're doing it, Disney has focused more, I think, when we started coming into like the age of the influencers.

Jana:

I think they really shifted the focus from quality and taste, to how pretty can. I make this look. Yes, it doesn't matter what it tastes like.

Erica:

But I mean, I'm already sucked into it because of that dangirty cupcake or cookie at Jolly and I don't care about it.

Jana:

But you know when you bite into it.

Mike:

It's going to be still, or a freezer burn or something.

Jana:

It's not going to be but even if it is a plain old sugar cookie, it's not good. They're still or they're freezer burnt. You can taste that in them and you know, maybe, maybe I'm spoiled. My mom is probably one of the best cooks on the face of the planet. Next to my mom, food, cheesecakes, cookies, cupcakes. She makes a banana pudding cupcake, y'all and it is phenomenal. I like cupcakes and, but you go down there and you bite into a cupcake and you're kind of hoping maybe it would even taste something close to Kroger or public cakes which are a grocery store cupcake and they're no good. Disney. Y'all got to do better, because the desserts down there are disgusting. Do better. They can be cute and good at the same time.

Mike:

But I think.

Jana:

My biggest disappointment, however, are the Rice Krispie treats, because you know we made these growing up. You got to have that melted marshmallow. You got to have enough butter and it just it affects the taste. They don't even taste like the ones you can buy at the grocery store. In the box, the Rice Krispie treat.

Mike:

Right Package.

Jana:

They all don't even taste like that. So, like I said, whatever has changed Yep Since the reopening, it's affected the tastes and quality of especially the snacks, treats, desserts. I agree with Janet.

Mike:

All the cooks went over to Universal. Maybe, yeah, maybe.

Erica:

Or no, they're going to that new park over in a tornado alley in Oklahoma.

Mike:

What was that called? I don't remember America something.

Erica:

I don't remember. It looks cool.

Jana:

It may be. Maybe they need to get Paula Deen to come down there and help them learn how to use butter in their recipes.

Mike:

She knows about butter. I swear I don't like her restaurants.

Jana:

Whatever, she knows how to use butter, and that's what they're missing on a lot of things. So there you go.

Erica:

So also a few rides are going to have holiday overlays. What is it? What do you call it? Not Autopia.

Mike:

Oh.

Jana:

Tomorrowland the Indie Speedway Speedway. There you go, Tomorrowland Speedway.

Erica:

Yeah, they have like some Christmas trees. We have Jingle Cruise and Space Mountain has some Christmas music and little holiday overlay.

Mike:

I don't like to be on there either. The Grinch is over there.

Erica:

I know the Grinch is over there, so this has nothing to do with the party, but I'm going to bunny hop over here because we're talking about rides and Christmas overlays. I'm shocked that Guardians of the Galaxy, cosmic Rewind, has not brought back the Christmas music. But you hated it last year. I never went on it last year, but everybody hated it.

Jana:

I hated the thought of it.

Erica:

I hated the thought of it I liked it.

Jana:

I didn't know it had Christmas music. I thought it was fun.

Erica:

Everybody said it was the same Christmas song, like on repeat.

Mike:

But it's just for a season, it wasn't like a good song.

Erica:

Nobody liked it, so they haven't even brought that back.

Jana:

See, but I'm easy to play as far as I know there's no plan. You all know that I don't know.

Mike:

It had Christmas music, so I haven't been on it anyway.

Jana:

Oh, it's so good.

Mike:

You have been on Guardians.

Jana:

So good.

Mike:

No, I have not.

Jana:

Yes, you have when. When last time we went we rode it once. You didn't ride it a second time because when you went around that world portion it started to get on.

Mike:

Oh yeah, yeah, sorry, sorry, glenn you drinking over there. No, I was like in Disneyland, the.

Erica:

Mission Breakout. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Mike:

So there is a. They're playing Christmas music all the way through that. Yeah, last year they did On Cosmic Rewind all through it. They had one.

Erica:

Christmas song no.

Jana:

Yeah, I liked it.

Erica:

I thought it was fun, but a lot of people didn't like it and they definitely made their opinions known online and now, it's not here this year, so yeah, oh well, but the party looks very fun and I'm excited and we're going to wear pajama pants and we have a pajama and cute shirts, and cute shirts and.

Jana:

Hey, hey, hey, you people that are listening, listen, hey, my screaming guy. Write this down.

Erica:

Please make note of Write this down.

Jana:

Listen, write this down. Jana Smith is going to wear a matching outfit with us two girls. Look at the influence we have on her Right.

Erica:

Look, look, this is mine Kind of like us Now she's not wearing a dress.

Jana:

We're not doing fancy hair, but she is going to be matching.

Erica:

She's going to be matching.

Jana:

This is huge. Y'all know I could change my mind last minute, right?

Erica:

No, you can't, Because I have about $80 worth of pajama pants sitting right there for you to pick.

Jana:

It's not flowery. It's not a tutu skirt. Look what y'all need to understand. I don't have a problem with matching. I don't have a problem with pajama pants. I don't have a problem with yoga pants to being on what size your rear end is when you put them on your body and if it's covered or not and if your butt's covered or not. Your butt should be covered when you're wearing the yoga pants and you're exercising, and even then sometimes you should cover it Right. Look, pajama, tomato, tomato.

Erica:

Potato.

Jana:

Potato. Let's call the whole thing off, okay, anyway, matching, I worked for professional law firm offices for a long time, we know. They told me I had to do this and I had to do that and all the things. And now, guess what? I don't have to do that anymore. I sell vacations. I can do anything I want. I like my jeans, I like my t-shirts and guess what? I like comfortable pajama pants when they're appropriate to wear in public. They're not appropriate to wear to work on a work day. They're not appropriate to wear in public unless you're covering your rear end. I don't care if you are toothpick skinny, cover your rear end. It's called self-respect and you should cover your behind okay. We know, which is why we out. I won't wear it no more. So for me, I'm all about comfort. I will wear yoga pants.

Erica:

But you know I'm not comfortable with it. I'm comfortable with it, I'm comfortable with it.

Mike:

I'm comfortable with it.

Jana:

I'm comfortable with it. I'm comfortable with it. I will wear yoga pants, but you better believe I'm covering this big old butt All right, and I'll wear them, but I'm not gonna wear them where it's not appropriate. For me a theme park is not appropriate in my mind. You may have different opinions, people wear them all the time. Boy, they sure do, but a. Christmas party. Christmas jammies are absolutely appropriate and they're gonna be comfortable and I'm gonna feel like I'm sitting at home on my couch in my pajama pants, Correct.

Mike:

With the rain.

Jana:

Pajama. And, oh my gosh, I'm even trying to influence them to get those big old fat Mickey Mouse house shoe slippers that are big yellow feet to walk around the park If they want $40 on Amazon, then they be all dirty and stuff.

Mike:

Look, I would go. I would sound like the man that you were talking about earlier, the Toy Soldiers.

Jana:

Nine times out of ten I'd prefer to go barefoot than anything else, but you can't do that in a theme park. Not only is it against the rules, but, gross right yeah gross so, but yeah, so me wearing matching clothes and pajama bottoms is, I think y'all are like I don't know why you're shocked. I think it's just because I'm constantly wearing jeans and I'm always only all about looking the part. You know you gotta still travel dressed the part. Look, we're just excited Number one that you invited us. How many times have we done a main street event and I have matching t-shirts for the whole group.

Erica:

Oh, totally Okay, so matching should not shock y'all.

Jana:

We're talking like head to toe, like we're gonna look like.

Erica:

We're gonna be the best dressed at this party.

Jana:

Yeah, aside from Mickey, they're gonna find a couch and some popcorn and set it in front of the council so we can watch the show. That's how we're gonna look. They're like, oh my gosh, y'all need to go to bed. We're gonna look like we go into Walmart. I'll take the couch, I'll take that. I will too, but we're gonna look like we're going to Walmart.

Mike:

So we're gonna be cute.

Jana:

Okay, it's gonna be amazing. We're gonna be cutest dressed Walmart people in the whole dang place, cause I'm gonna have all mouse ears.

Erica:

Me too. I won't be wearing a mouse ears. I have lots of clothes, so we'll put you in the middle. You can borrow a pair. I do too, actually.

Jana:

You wanna get one of the glowing necklaces, the.

Mike:

Christmas-like necklaces. I have two of those.

Jana:

I have one, but I have no clue where they're at. I have two.

Erica:

I'll see if they still work. Walmart and Walgreens have them right now.

Jana:

But are they the same kind they sell in the park Mine are cause my neck, so they're. Mickey heads yeah, I'm gonna get the ones at the park. My neck gave them to me. I have two.

Erica:

I kinda wanna buy the Christmas Crocs. That's another thing. The merch, the merch. The Christmas stuff is so good. Yeah, we did. Yeah, we did. I got an orange bird crocs.

Jana:

What I've got orange bird crocs. I travel with them when I go to Disney. I wear them a lot. We need the Christmas Crocs. I'll have the orange bird ones on that day for sure. Love it.

Erica:

Yay, it's just gonna be so much fun, and if you've never been like me, I think you should just bite the bullet and just do it, and not be a Grinch and go have fun.

Jana:

But you can be a Grinch if you want to.

Erica:

You can be a Grinch and go to Universal.

Jana:

Even the.

Erica:

Grinch has fun. No Grinchies at Magic Kingdom, only at Universal. Okay, it's gonna be fun.

Jana:

That's all. That's it for us this week. Next week we will be back. We're gonna tell you all about Sandals Curacao, and we're gonna tell you all about.

Mike:

We're gonna tell you what we know. Review, since we haven't been there.

Jana:

Yes, we'll give you a short preview and then let's talk about Christmas at Universal, because we've got to get super knowledgeable about that, so we don't miss anything, and we gotta try to figure out if this Grinch thing is a rumor or not.

Mike:

Are you not going to Universal on this trip?

Jana:

We are, yeah, okay good, so that will be next week. We hope you all join us. If you've done a Christmas party, we'd love to hear your opinions on it. What's your favorite thing If you're going? Don't hang up, because I think we're getting a couple of people who call. Why don't you hesitate? And whether or not I get a voice on there, it's us. I promise, leave a voicemail. Don't be scared. Any of you left a voicemail for the wrong people. They might actually enjoy what you have to say.

Mike:

Exactly so. They might love to see it. I wonder if there's a person talking about it.

Jana:
